The perfect getaway for those looking for somewhere special for their holiday in Spain, our two bedroom apartment is located in the peaceful white village of Bubión, in the Alpujarras region of Andalucia, southern Spain.
Bubion, just two hours away from Malaga airport.
This modern, well maintained Spanish apartment is available to rent as a holiday home throughout the year and can sleep up to 4 people with 2 double bedrooms. There are spectacular views down the Poqueira Gorge and the Sierra de Lújar in the Contraviesa mountains. On a clear days the Riff mountains of Morocco and the Mediterranean Sea can be seen. They are a stunning sight, especially with the Spring and Autumn sunsets.
The best of southern Spain
Bubión lies near Granada on the southern side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range at 1350 metres in the heart of the high Alpujarras (La Alpujarra), a region of Andalucia in southern Spain. In 1986 the Sierra Nevada was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and officially has the purest air in Europe! For a relaxing holiday with a wonderful mountain climate, clean air and bright sunshine, there is no better place than this.
Large swimming pool
In July and August, the holiday apartment is enhanced by the use of a large swimming pool, which is shared with the immediate neighbours, and from 2012 there will be a village swimming pool just 5 minutes walk away. There is a BBQ area and large patio to enjoy the long summer days.
Activities in Andalucia
Spring and autumn holidays are a superb mix of bright sunny days and cooler evenings – ideal for a walking holiday or for mountain biking, painting, horse riding and bird watching. Guides and bookings for all activities can be made in advance or on arrival.
Cosy log fires
Winter is a time for cosy log fires, hearty meals in local restaurants and the wonderful light illuminating the snow peaked mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
Refreshing natural mountain water
In these lovely white villages there are many fuente (fountains) where the refreshing natural mountain water is fabulous to drink, especially after a hard day's walking or sunbathing.
